Q, When can I start?
A, You may join a TFM class as soon as you have medical clearance from your Doctor to exercise (usually at 6 weeks post natal). You don't need a specific pram or buggy, we ensure the TFM classes are suitable for all of you.
Q, What fitness level is this for?
A, Everyone! We provide options of exercises to ensure a safe and effective workout for all mums.
Q, Do I have to speak English?
A, Although the classes will be conducted in English, you will only need a basic level so it’s a great way for Japanese mums to improve and practice their English while exercising AND spending time with their akachan!
Q, How can I join?
A, Simply check the schedule on our Classes page, and email us to sign up for a class! Before your first class, we ask you to complete the Exercise questionnaire so that we have an understanding of your goals and any medical conditions that we need to be aware of for exercising.
Q, How long are the workouts?
A, Classes are 60 minutes in length but as we will start promptly, please arrive a few minutes early to get you and your baby ready. At the end of the workout we have some baby playtime and let the babies interact while mum has a good chat with the girls.
Q, What do I need to bring
A, • Drink for Mummy and Baby
 • Yoga/Pilates Mat for the grass
 • Good running/cross training shoes and make sure you invest in a good sports bra (or two!)
 • Preferably a stroller, but a baby carrier or baby Bjorn is also ok
 • Sunscreen and other items to protect you and your baby from Mother Nature (plastic pram cover for light rain)
 • Snack and toys for your toddler
Q, What if it rains?
A, We run classes in all weathers (except maybe snow and Typhoon!) so come prepared. Remember, "There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing!!" however if we do have to cancel the class due to the conditions, we will send out an email an hour before the session to let you know and a possible alternative inside venue if available Although you may get warm, the babies are not exercising, so remember your buggysnuggle, cosy toes or blanket for the cold days
Q, Is TFM trainer qualified?
A, Yes, Luisa is fully qualified, to ensure you have a safe workout that will be effective for your ongoing fitness needs and to gain maximum results!
Q, What do I do if my baby gets fussy?
A, Our first priority is the happiness of your baby. We understand that all babies cry sometimes and we are all in the same boat! Because we stop every few minutes for body toning, feel free to change, cuddle or feed your baby during the class. However where possible we suggest you feed your baby before coming to class. If you're breastfeeding this also ensures you are more comfortable to exercise.
Q, Can I bring my toddler along, I have a double buggy?
A, Second time, third time mums are all welcome. Preparation is the key. Let the older child run around the park or go to the playground before the session, then give them a snack pack to keep them busy in the pram whilst mum is training. Give a sticker as a reward for good sitting or crack open the bubbles! Girls are often better than boys at sitting through. The extra weight of a heavier child will also increase the intensity of the workout for you.
